After a crazy weekend of tech, we thought we’d take the time to introduce the crazy Patrick Dodd. Please note that “crazy” here refers to “unbelievably kind, undoubtedly funny, and unconditionally cool”.
Patrick Dodd returned to the wonderful world of theatre in 2014 in the form of improv, and since October has been performing weekly with Instant Theatre Company (check him out every Sunday evening at the Havana Theatre). As of February he is also a cast member of the VFS Sketch Company and the improv group National Anthem, and can be seen in various other improv and comedy shows around Vancouver.
The naturally talented Patrick has a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from McGill and a M.Eng. in Clean Energy from UBC and he works for Mantra Energy Alternatives, a sustainable technology company. Say, what?
What little spare time Patrick has is devoted to useless pastimes such as sewing bow ties. He is honoured and ecstatic to be a part of Clockwork Theatre’s production of Fool For Love. Check out his upcoming performance as Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest (Beach House Theatre), August, 2015.
Patrick as Martin, practicing his landscaping skills.
One last fun fact: Patrick Dodd is one of three Patrick’s who had helped out with the show. He is playing a character named “Martin” and the director’s husbands name is Patrick Martin. It has been confusing at times, but we like to up the long-dead joke.
