Introducing: Wyatt Hubert

unnamedWe have a week off this week – the kids are memorizing away and the adults are designing as well. Things are getting exciting folks and we can’t wait until next week when everything will come together, completely.

Today we’d like to take the time to introduce Wyatt Hubert. Wyatt is one of the most interesting campers and we sure do like him. He has high energy – all the time – and is often seen doing parkour moves during his breaks. If there’s one thing Wyatt isn’t afraid of, it is to move. Comec check out this ball of energy at the Vancouver Fringe, it is one of his very first times acting on stage!

Tell us about your theatre background.
To be honest, I don’t have much Theatre experience. I just seemed to mix with acting very well.

What has been your favorite part about Green Room Theatre Camp and the devised piece you’re creating, so far?
The opportunity it provides. People are going to actually see my work, and that’s very exciting for me.

What excites you most about performing at the Vancouver Fringe Festival?
What doesn’t excite me about it? I feel privileged to be a part of the Green Room and performing in Vancouver.

What do you hope audiences take away from the devised piece you’re creating?
The varied, but common, message all of the pieces tell. The scenes I wrote focus on a common theme many young people can relate to and I hope people do.

When you’re not doing theatre, what do you spend your time on?
I have an array of hobbies, like parkour and boxing, but deep down I am a gamer.

What do you hope to do after high school?
Become an actor that does his own stunts.

If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?
Hmm. I’m not sure. Can I be a sponge instead? That seems like a pretty calm lifestyle.

 Who is your hero?
Markiplier. Guy’s great.

What is your favorite movie?
IBirdemic. That’s real comedy.

If you could go on a road trip with anyone, dead or alive, who would you go with and where would you travel to?
I would travel with Mozart to a Skrillex concert.

If you had to grow up in a different era, which would you choose?
I think the distant future because I have no idea what it would be like.

What excites you, and what terrifies you, about growing up?
I guess it’s the unknown, for both. It’s thrilling to know I will be on my own in the world, but a little chilling too.

If you had to pick an alias name, what would it be?

What is something people may not know about you?
I am nowhere near as intimidating as I look. The first thing I do everyday when I get home is cuddle a puppy. I am too friendly for my own good.
