An Original Devised Piece for the 2015 International Vancouver Fringe Festival
Presented at the Havana Theatre
September 10th – 20th, 2015
Clockwork Theatre is co-producing a devised piece with BlackJacq Productions this summer for the Vancouver Fringe Festival. But this isn’t just any ol’ devised piece, it is a devised piece completely created by inner-city high school students in Surrey, BC.
BlackJacq Productions has created a summer camp, Green Room Theatre Camp, which gives experience to inner city youth to design, write, act out, develop, produce a play, and perform it at the Fringe Festival in Vancouver.
The students have chosen to explore the topic, and their own personal experiences, of growing up. Because they believe many of the joys and heartaches faced in growing up are timeless and universal, they have also decided to explore the theme through different eras. These kids are mega talented and their writing and performances are sure to wow you.
